With your help Quill is able to defeat Tylan. Thus giving Tylan's reader God like powers in the world of Moss. Tylan's reader takes over Tylan, (It looked involuntary to me) and is controlling Tylan to kill Quill and take the final glass. When we finally reach the peak of the tower and face Tylan. Quill ignores Aderyn and thinks he is a traitor. When Tylan defeated Quill and got four of the five glasses he thinks that Quill can no longer defeat Tylan and as we are climbing the castle with broken gravity tries to convince Quill to give Tylan Sahima's glass. His original goal with Quill was to have him gather the five glasses. The curse was for giving the owl Tylan his first Glass. The magic is tearing the world apart and causing the floating chunks of the castle.Īderyn, as we learned just before meeting the reader is trying to get the five glasses back together so that his curse of mortality can be lifted. The magic breaking apart the world is not really explained other than it is connected with the Glasses and the readers. It is part of the reason Sahima decided to work with us not out of trust but out of desperation. Very detailed spoiler if you have not played please don't read.Īfter shortly after Tylan the Owl got the two glasses from Quill a powerful magical storm started to pull apart the castle. I’m sure if they sell enough copies of book 2 they’ll make a book 3, and they’ll find a way to get the reader back into Moss to confront the evil reader. So now you’ve helped Quill seal up the broken rift between readers moss, the glass is now on your side, which prevents it from ever being reunited on their side. Seizing the glass prevented it from getting worse, but the castle is pretty screwed up by the second reader trying to reclaim the glass. The story they wrote seems to have broken the world a little bit. The story is left a bit ambiguous, but it appears what happened is that back in the day a reader caused the first cinder night by claiming all the glass and gaining the ability to not just read but write the story of moss. I believe it happens after the uncle dies and you're cast out of the realm the first time but inhabent confirmed that. If you look carefully, the tower is broken toward the end of the second game and you can see it floating in the background of each realm. It really threw me and left me feeling confused and disappointed.Īnyone else? Should I just play through again and try to pay more attention? I have no idea what happened with that last chapter. After the credits, the sprite is alive after all and the other reader is just sitting there in the library giving us the nasty eye. We're told we'll never see Quill again and the credits roll. Quill gets tired, then the tree people show up and kill everything. We have all the glass now (idk why), but there's a portal in the sky that kills everything and the sprite dies (but wtv he was a traitor now, I guess). Then there's another reader who's trying to kill Quill and a there's a golden bird. Maybe I didn't follow the story closely enough, but everything seemed to be going fine until all of a sudden gravity is broken and there are portals. Please don't read if you don't want to see spoilers.
